I thought the Forum might like to know of a wonderful map, 3' x 2', I found in the depths of the Royal Geographical Society in London. The title is:
THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER, ALTON TO THE GULF OF MEXICO, AS SEEN FROM THE HURRICANE DECK (Constructed from Reliable Sources).
then comes the river map itself, drawn in five strips under which we read 'These five slips may be cut, and joined in one piece, forming a Panorama ten feet long', and then:

Perfect! They made me a facsimile for $15 and it's covered in pencil notes already...
