It was a trademark for a line of school uniforms originally manufactured by
Missouri-based Elderwear, which has also offered other Mark Twain themed
lines.. The company was founded in 1916 and the style has a twenties look
to it. That's all I could find on their internet page (they still make
school uniforms) but writing to the company might produce more information.
