I recently received this link from a colleague Cathy Lang who works
collaboratively on research and resources (called 'Innovative Pathways')
geared towards, but not exclusively for, rural communities.

It might be worth contacting the Centre for Rural and Northern Health
Research (CRaNHR) located here in Sudbury. Here is the link to their
website:

Subject: Rural Health Models

Hello Everyone,

I am looking to understand the types of models researchers are using
when investigating rural health. Specifically,I'd like to know if:

i) there are any theories, models, frameworks that have been developed
to guide health research in rural/isolated regions and/or for
rural/isolated populations.

ii) if so, where they have been developed and used (USA, Australia,
UK)?

iii) if there are several of these where they come from (sociology,
epidemiology

I am doing a lit search but if someone out there has any useful
information on this topic it would be much appreciated.

Best Wishes,

Kathryn Proudfoot
