The Mark Twain Journal is always of interest to us, and the Fall 2020 issue is no exception. Forum members will want to read Taylor Roberts’s article on the history of the Mark Twain Forum, for sure. The other articles are of great interest too, with a beautiful color picture of the Hartford Mark Twain House on the cover, a companion to Steve Courtney’s article on the restoration of the Hartford house. I could go on, but will not, at the risk of slighting other contributors (and friends).

But the big news overshadows all: Alan Gribben is announcing the end of his editorship of the Mark Twain Journal, and welcoming new incoming editor Joe B. Fulton. Twainians owe a huge debt of gratitude to Alan for bringing the journal up to date (it was woefully behind when he took over in 2009) and virtually reinventing it. Along with the his managing editor and wife, Irene Wong, Alan has kept alive an important resource for Mark Twain studies. Therefore, many thanks to Alan and Irene, and congratulations to Joe B. Fulton!
