Does anyone know name of the "special correspondent from Carson City" for the Sacramento Daily Union in 1862?  His name isn't given in articles, speculating it could be Clement T. Rice?     The December 13, 1862 article describes funeral of Judge Farewell and "ladies" at the Territorial legislature (which Clemens also describes in a letter home on December 12).
Next issues report debates in the Territorial legislature word-for-word; short hand must have been used as Clemens later joked about.   Please let me know if you know the name of the reporter.https://cdnc.ucr.edu/?a=d&d=SDU18621213.2.3&e=-------en--20--1--txt-txIN--------1
