Larry Marshburne expressed an interest in more info about the Bierce/Twain
relationship. There might be more information contained within the
letters exchanged between Bierce and John C. Hotten who was a pirate
of Twain's works in London. Rasumussen's _MTAZ_ also gives a brief
mention of Bierce's involvement in Hotten's death (MTAZ, p. 211). The
letters are documented in _Union Catalog of Letters to Clemens_, p. 23.

There is also one letter from Bierce to Clemens dated 1910.10.13 and
apparently annotated by Clemens. That letter might also be interesting
to check out as well as any marginalia Clemens might have written
on it. There is no documented letter of reply.
