Rick Stapleton was interviewed last night on CBC about McMaster 
University's acquisition of Bruce Cockburn's papers. Congratulations to 
McMaster for acquiring the papers of this important Canadian. Rick also 
spoke eloquently about the role of archives generally. 

Rick, as someone who strums enthusiastically but without much talent, I 
would sell my soul, and play for the west baseball team, to be able to 
play like Bruce Cockburn. I'm envious that you got to meet him.

In another era I suppose LAC would have been interested. But, since all 
his music is available on itunes his archives have already been digitized 
and made available to Canadians. It's good to know that McMaster is 
carrying on its fine tradition of preserving our cultural history.
