Dear Mark Twain Forum members,
Several changes have taken place on the Mark Twain Forum which members
should know about:
1.) Congratulations are in order for Dr. Taylor Roberts, who successfully
completed his studies in linguistics at the Massachusetts Institute of
Technology. As a result of this milestone, the TwainWeb, the Forum's Web
site, has been moved from M.I.T. to York University.
I want to thank Taylor for founding and maintaining the Mark Twain Forum,
for his guidance, and most importantly, for his continuing friendship.
Taylor has agreed to continue to be our Webmaster. Look for changes and
improvements in the Web site in the coming months. The new URL for the
TwainWeb is:
<http://www.yorku.ca/twainweb>
Please note that all members of the Mark Twain Forum who wish to share a
photo of themselves for the member gallery may send a scan to Taylor at:

Twain-related digital images of conferences and special events are also
welcome.
2.) Barbara Schmidt has accepted the position of Book Review Editor for the
Mark Twain Forum, of which she has been a long-time active member. In
addition to furnishing a steady stream of useful information through
postings to the list, she has contributed much to the Forum behind the
scenes. She has also developed a number of invaluable on-line databases of
Mark Twain quotes and full-text newspaper articles by and about Mark Twain.
These may be viewed at her Web site at: <http://www.tarleton.edu/~schmidt/>
We can all help by letting Barb know about new Twain-related books, audio
books, videos, DVDs, and CD-ROMs, so she may secure review copies. Contact
Barb at: <[log in to unmask]>
3.) A reminder for those who may wish to sign off the list: simply go to the
TwainWeb at:
http://www.yorku.ca/twainweb
Select "WWW Gateway to the Mark Twain Forum" on the home page.
Select "Unsubscribe from TWAIN-L." Fill in the e-mail address under which
you subscribed in the appropriate box and press the "unsubscribe" button.
You will receive a confirmation that you have been removed from the list. If
you encounter any problems, send a message to me and I will try to
help. Of course, you are welcome to rejoin us again at any time.
4.) Please note that my e-mail address has changed (I hope for the last
time). Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or
suggestions about the operation of the Mark Twain Forum.
Kevin J. Bochynski
List Administrator
