It is my pleasure to announce the appointment of Julia Holland as
Archives Assistant with the Clara Thomas Archives and Special
Collections of York University. Julia will join us on Wednesday,
October 10, after working almost eight years with the United Church of
Canada / Victoria University Archives in Toronto. A graduate of the
University of Toronto and the Archives Technician Program at Algonquin
College, Julia brings the benefits of experience gained during previous
placements with community, municipal, health, and other religious and
university archives in Ontario. The students, faculty, and public who
use York's archival holdings and rare books will greatly benefit from
Julia's knowledge, skill, and dedication to archives, as well as an
enthusiasm and sense of humour that she frequently shared with her
colleagues through her volunteer work with the Toronto Area Archivists
Group and the Archives Assocation of Ontario. We look forward to her
arrival in the very near future.
