THE TORONTO HARBOUR COMMISSION ARCHIVES -- ONE YEAR CONTRACT
The Toronto Harbour Commission is responsible for managing the Port of
Toronto, the Toronto City Centre Airport and the Outer Harbour Marina.
Exciting changes are on the horizon when the THC will become the Toronto
Port Authority later this year. New challenges and reponsibilities mean
that the Records and Archives Department will be able to hire an additional
staff member for a one-year contract position.
Responsibilities for this entry-level position include maintenance of
Central Registry files, retrieval of records, assistance with reference
services and provision of backup for both the archivist and the mail clerk
as required.
The candidate should possess a bachelor's degree, a driver's license (must
be able to drive both standard and automatic vehicles), and a desire to
work with an interesting and diverse collection of archival records.
Knowledge of RAD and experience in working with records and researchers is
a decided asset. The compensation is competitive and working conditions
are excellent.
Please send a cover letter and resume to:

The fax number is (416) 863-4830; email address is [log in to unmask]

those candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
