Katie and I visited Elmira college a few weeks ago and were treated to
finding and absorbing lots of Mark Twain Memorabilia!!
It was a real thrill to see the displays, to visit the cemetery and drive
by Quarry farm!! As well as to look into Twain’s circular study, on campus.
I got to sit by him in the admissions office!!

We came away concerned about the empty feeling on campus!!!
Is Elmira OK??
Is there a decreasing student body?
What happens to the Mark Twain collections if the college falters??
I sure don’t want to make anybody angry with these questions, but I thought
I should say something!
