A massive collection of historical
books, documents, periodicals and magazines, known as the
Peterborough Collection, was severely damaged by flood waters on
Thursday.
<snip>
Head librarian Becky Rogers said the wave swept through the
building's lower level taking with it the Peterborough collection,
other books, computers, files, desks and chairs.
<snip>
Museum co-ordinator Susan Neale said the Roy collection is on
wall racks in a special sealed vault and the extent of damage, if
any at all, isn't known yet.
