I. Queen's Park Public Sculptures Walking Tour ...
Join us for a walking tour, "From the Life of the Mind to the Queen's 
Park Mortuary: Public Sculptures from Spadina to Bay." The two hour tour 
will be led by John Warkentin, Professor Emeritus in Geography, York 
University, and Co-ordinating Editor of the Historical Atlas of Canada.
Where: the group will meet on the NW corner of College and Spadina Streets
When: 5:30 pm, Thursday, 21 July 2005 (rain or shine; so come prepared)

II. Turn on, Tune In, and Come Out to TAAG's Yorkville 1960's Music 
Scene Walking Tour ...
Calling all archival hipsters! Discover the birthplace of Canadian song. 
In the 1960's, Yorkville was where Canada's young musical and artistic 
talent gathered to share their love of music. During the 1.5 hour tour, 
one of Canada's foremost music journalists and historians, Nicholas 
Jennings, will show you the sites of famous clubs and coffeehouses like 
the Riverboat and the Penny Farthing and tell you how music icons such 
as Joni Mitchell and Neil Young got their start.
Where: the group will meet on the NW corner of Avenue Road and Pears Avenue

III. TAAG Film Festival: The Return of the Golden Moulds ...
The Golden Globes, the Oscars, and the Palme D'or have nothing on TAAG's 
Golden Moulds. You won't want to miss an evening of rare films from the 
vaults of Toronto area archives. Ebert and Roeper give the TAAG Film 
Festival two white cotton gloved thumbs up!

IV. Keeping the Oral Tradition Alive: Storytelling with Dan Yashinky ...
How does the oral tradition relate to the world of high speed 
technology? Find out from award winning professional story teller, Dan 
Yashinsky. Named one of "Toronto's People That Matter," Dan  has won the 
Toronto Book Award twice and the Jane Jacobs Award.
When: 5:30 pm (reading at 6:00 pm), Thursday, 27 October 2005
