We are delighted to report that HOPE has been reinstated to an "A" ranked journal.
The relevant passage is:
"15 different submissions came in to challenge the downgrading of the History of Political Economy (HOPE) from A to B. These included submissions from the editor of the journal and the President of the History of Economic Thought Society of Australia (HETSA). An argument was made that HOPE is the top journal in the field of “History of Economic Thought” and, without HOPE as at least an A journal, this would significantly reduce the incentive for anyone in Australia to engage in this kind of research. Thus, despite HOPE’s citation record putting it squarely in the B category, the panel recommends that it be re-instated at the level A – one grade higher than its citation data implies".
They also reproduced word-for-word the HOPE submission.

Congratulations to all that assisted us "down-under". We won this battle (not sure about the war).
