Just a further update on The City of Calgary, Corporate Records, Archives.
As ASA's Rene Georgopalis reported (thank you!), there was no flooding in
the Archives' storage room in City Hall's Administration building, but the
building has been affected. Despite lack of power to the building, the
temperature and humidity changes were not that bad, and a generator is now
in place to run the de-humidifier. Staff however, remain evacuated and this
means there is no Reference Service available by phone, email, or in person,
until further notice.
Thank you all for your concern, and offers of help. We are sorry information
was not available sooner, but as you can imagine we are in a bit of turmoil
and are just taking things day by day here.
