Eh.Net (the network to which HES belongs) has a new streamlined home page 
which gives quick access to: a calendar of events in economic history, 
various other services, the lists, and member organizations. HES may be 
able to adopt a similar home page format in the near future.

There are now three different locations around the world to access EH.Net 
web services.

--- CALENDAR --- 
The Calendar of events in economic history is now easier to see and to  
access. The new home page calendar is linked to the expanded calendar,  
which offers both short descriptions of events and links to detailed  
information about meetings and conferences, seminars, deadlines, and more.  
Events can be entered on the submission form, or sent by e-mail to:

--- OTHER ECONOMIC HISTORY SERVICES --- 
 
1. Abstracts in Economic History 
AEH is a free abstracting service which welcomes work in progress, 
conference presentations, dissertations, plus published articles such as 
EEH and EREH. The web site offers more than 150 abstracts and an 
easy-to-use submission form. 
 
2. Book Reviews in Business and Economic History 
Economic History reviews are posted to the EH.Res list, and Business 
History reviews are posted to the H-Business list. Both sets of reviews are 
archived, and the server also offers a list of forthcoming reviews. 
 
3. Data Sources and Registry 
U.S. Population, Labor, and Greenback series are downloadable data sets 
available, and 20 data sets can be obtained from the owners. A data 
registry form is included at the site. 
 
4. Directories 
Searchable membership directories for the Business History Conference, The 
Cliometric Society, and the Economic History Association. 
 
5. Course Syllabi 
More than 100 economic history and history of economics syllabi, course 
outlines, and reading lists. 
 
6. "Ask the Professor" 
Innovative advisory service for scholars new to the fields of economic 
history and history of economics. 
 
7. Other Web Sites 
Links to sites such as professional organizations, journals, museums and 
archives, company and government sites with historical information, library 
catalogues, working paper archives.
