The thirtieth annual meeting of the American Society for 
Eighteenth-Century Studies will take place in Milwaukee, WI, 24-28 March 
1999.  The program committee welcomes proposals for interdisciplinary 
sessions and sessions in all disciplines, especially traditionally 
underrepresented disciplines.  (History and Philosophy of Science is at 
the moment almost completely unrepresented)  The deadline for session 
proposals in 1 May 1998.  The list of approved session topics will be 
publsihed in the ASECS newslatter and posted on the ASECS web page. 
Individuals will submit proposals for papers to the session organizers. 
The deadline for paper proposals in 1 Sepetember 1998.  To request a 
proposal form or additional information, contact Margaret Atherton,
