For your information, Murray Rothbard has two articles on the founding of
the FED, each over 100 manuscript pages that will soon be published for the
first time in his forthcoming HISTORY OF BANKING: FROM COLONIAL TIMES TO
WWII. I would point out that "Conspiracies" or plots are a standard
material for economic and public choice analysis because all legislation is
in some sense a "scheme" between politicans and interest groups to
accomplish some goal that usually benefits members of the "conspiracy"
against the general public. Given the importance of the FED, there is a
surprising lack of academic reserach on the subject.

BTW: It is true that the Mises Institute does control and virtually
orchestrates every word written or spoken by the 200+ scholars associated
with it. So far, this conspiracy has gone largely unnoticed both because
Rothbard, (who was the Institute's Academic Vice President before his death)
was Jewish and because the Institute could labeled anyone who found out
about the conspiracy, a conspiracy theorist. :)
