Steven Kates is perfectly right. "History of economic Ideas" XVI/2008/3,
has hosted a symposium on "The near death experience of the history of
economics in Australia", containing papers by S. Kates and A. Millmow, "A
canary in the coalmine", A. Montesano, "Economics, history and economic
