YMCA Canada invites applications for a full-time summer position (ending 29th August 2003) as a Project Archivist at its national office in Toronto. The deadline for applications is noon on Monday 9th June 2003.

DESCRIPTION: The project involves arranging, describing and re-housing textual records and photographs from the Canadian YMCA War Service series as well as from a personal fonds that reflects the work of the Canadian YMCA World Service Dept in Asia. The Project Archivist will be supervised by the Archivist in the YMCA Canada Archives.

QUALIFICATIONS: As this project is partly funded by Young Canada Works in Heritage Organizations, eligible candidates must meet the YCW guidelines (age 30 and under, etc.). Applicants must also have at least one year of training in archival principles and practices from a recognized post-secondary institution that includes experience with the Rules for Archival Description.

Salary and Benefits: $15.00 per hour plus 4% vacation pay
