Subject: Appointment of Tys Klumpenhouwer as University Archivist at the University of Toronto Archives and Records Management Services (UTARMS)

[External Email]

Dear Archival Colleagues,

I am pleased to announce that Tys Klumpenhouwer has accepted the position of University Archivist at the University of Toronto Archives and Records Management Services (UTARMS) starting August 1, 2019.

Tys has worked at UTARMS since 2013, first as a GSLA, then as a Contract Archivist, and for the last five years, as a Records Archivist. During this time, Tys has forged strong relationships with University offices, donors, and researchers. In addition, Tys is a wonderful instructor and has taught the graduate course, INF2175: Managing Organisational Records at the Faculty of Information for several semesters. He has also held key positions within the archival and records management communities, including the Chair of the Council of Ontario Universities Records Managers Group, the Secretary of the Toronto Area Archivists' Group, and an active member of the Association of Canadian Archivists.

I am thrilled to have Tys' leadership in this very important area. Please join me in congratulating him upon his new appointment.

Best Regards,
Loryl
