Dear Colleague,

I am pleased to report that the Journal of Economic Education has a WWW
site, which can be viewed by pointing your browser at

                http://www.indiana.edu/~econed

Only a very few of the other leading journals in economics now have Web
pages. The JEE site is unique in that it provides the tables of
contents, abstracts, and author information on past and future issues.
In time, we plan to offer Web users a JEE search engine and the ability to
order copies of specific articles via credit card purchases and FAX delivery.

In addition to information on content, the JEE Web site contains
previously unpublished annual reports that I have delivered to the
American Economic Association and National Council on Economic
Education. For example, in the 1994 JEE report there is a historical
review showing the advancement of the JEE to its current ranking of 27
out of the 130 economics journals identified by David Laband and Michael
Piette (Journal of Economic Literature, June 1994) in their 1990 impact
adjusted citations count to 1985-1989 articles. These annual reports
also contain information on acceptance rates, time to publication, and
the names of the 200 plus referees used annually in article reviewing.
Finally, the JEE Web site contains information on the style for article
submission and subscriptions.

We hope you find the JEE Web site helpful.

Sincerely yours,
William E. Becker, Editor
