This is to inform you about the Spring 1996 programme of the Erasmus 
Seminar on Philosophy and Economics. 
 
As you will notice, two of the seminars take on the form of a debate. This 
is an indication of our pursuit of promoting argumentative dialogue and 
debate as part of the conversational culture of the seminar. 
 
Whenever a paper (or papers) related to the talk or debate is available -- 
as we trust will usually be the case -- it will be circulated in advance to 
those intending to attend so that the time taken by the presentation can be 
kept to a minimum and most of the session can be devoted to an exchange of 
critical arguments. 
 
We would like to ask you to forward this information to those of your 
colleagues and students who might be interested in being put in the mailing 
list and in receiving the papers. We also welcome suggestions for speakers 
(such as foreign specialists visiting the country or its vicinity) or 
topics or debates.

You are most welcome to participate in the seminar. We find your
