 Subject In Memoriam - Robert ("Bob") Sparrow, Corporate Archivist, Sun
       : Life Financial



I regret to inform you of the sudden passing of Bob Sparrow on October 16,
2006 at Credit Valley Hospital at the age of 51.
Bob was a long-time employee of Sun Life Financial, joining Group
Retirement Services in Montreal in 1972.  Bob transferred to Toronto in
1980.  He joined the Corporate Archives in 1986 succeeding Norman Galey as
Corporate Archivist in 1993.

Bob worked diligently to make Sun Life Financial’s rich heritage available
to researchers both inside and outside the Company.  He had a wealth of
knowledge and keen interest in the Company’s history.

He will be sadly missed by his family especially his wife, Marilyn and his
mother, Marie and his many friends and colleagues.

Visitation and funeral service will be held at the Neweduk Funeral Home,
1981 Dundas Street West (1 block east of Erin Mills Parkway), Mississauga,
Ontario 905-828-8000 on Tuesday, October 17, 2006 7:00Â  - 9:00 p.m. and
Wednesday, October 18, 2006 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.

The funeral service is on Thursday, October 19, 2006 at 11:00 a.m.  In lieu
of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Bob’s memory to the
Heart and Stroke Foundation.
