Please join the Toronto Area Archivists Group on 21 March for a talk about the Nelson Mandela Foundation Centre of Memory in South Africa.

Find out how archives and libraries can serve as agents for social justice and universal equality. Shadrack Katuu, an archivist with the Nelson Mandela Foundation, as well as Juanita Rossiter and Jill Ruby, the first two recipients of the University of Toronto Faculty of Information Studies' Nelson Mandela Internship, will discuss their work with the Centre of Memory Project in South Africa. The project is premised on a commitment to documenting, disseminating information about, and contributing to continuing struggles for justice, in particular those to which Nelson Mandela and his colleagues have dedicated their lives.
