Note: Omaha police picked up the suspects a few hours later and they
currently remain in jail pending arraignment.

Resolution?

This is more and more difficult to deal with. Tough to understand that
education, opportunity, health, and medical school admission are about
social class. Tougher to understand the legal help and security are also
about social class, until we begin to listen and hear. Then the eyes begin
to open too.

Lots of Pop Pop Pop, some very loud and near, others more distant and
quiet, but getting closer. Especially for those on the front lines caring
for people. Schoolteachers, police, firemen, nurses, counselors, family
physicians. All on the front lines, not there for the pay, but because they
serve and care. All from lower and middle income origins where life is more
of a challenge. All depend heavily on investments in education, public
safety, basic access to health. All depend upon having a better educated
population that has more options and fewer limitations during a time period
when we have turned a different direction. Mess with our pay, well this has
been true for years, what is new? We will still be around. But take away
our support, the quality of interactions with people, our options when
dealing with people....

The current literature notes that there are Eight America when dividing
health care status in the nation, from the highest income Asians to the
lowest income minorities. Education opportunity runs the same way. So does
my research regarding medical school admissions.

My observations are that the legal systems and public safety also divide
into about Eight America's as well, with those in lower income areas facing
the greatest challenges accessing legal care and protections and the
richest Americans doing more and more interesting things.
