Bayham Culture Committee Request for Proposal - Cultural Consultant
July 2004

The Municipality of Bayham is a rural municipality located along the shores of Lake Erie in the County of Elgin in Southwestern Ontario.  Utilizing Ontario Trillium Foundation funding and acting on behalf of the Municipality and several community groups, the Bayham Culture Committee is seeking to contract a consultant to help identify and establish a workable cultural plan that brings together various aspects of Bayham's cultural fabric to create a sense of community in a municipality amalgamated in January 1998 (former Township of Bayham, Village of Vienna, Village of Port Burwell).

Purpose of Study

The cultural plan will address (but is not limited to) the following:

· Coordination of two local museums;
· Tourism;
· The natural environment;
· Coordination of heritage sites, arts and heritage organizations;
· Celebrations and Festivals;
· Marketing and Economic Development.

Submission Instructions:  Request for Proposal is available on-line at www.bayham.on.ca.  Click on "Government", "Committees" and "Bayham Culture Committee".  Hard copies are also available at the Municipality of Bayham offices in Straffordville, Ontario.

Closing Date:  12:00 noon local time, Tuesday August 3rd, 2004
