To all Regional and Single-tier CAO's:
We have received another request from CIDA for assistance. This time
Indonesia is in need of an archivist to assist in the restoration of
Indonesian maps damaged by salt water and mud. Apparently the tsunami
damaged about 80 percent of the land maps in the province.
Please note that submission of a resume does not guarantee an individual
will be chosen. Also, at this time, it is unclear who will be paying the
salary. However, CIDA will cover travel and additional insurance costs and
other items such as vaccinations and anti-malarials.
It is expected that the assignment will be for four weeks of work (including
travel time) in late March to late April 2005.
If you know of anyone who might be qualified, please forward this request
and ask them to send their resume as soon as possible to:
Dwight Turner
Disaster Relief Unit
Municipal Programs & Education Branch
Ministry of Municipal Affairs & Housing
416-585-4237
Thank you for your assistance.
