Pu-leeze don't drag poor old Ayn Rand into any discussion of Alan
Greenspan's or George Bush's economics (whatever that might be) or
economic policy. Rand's understanding of econ was rudimentary, except
that she favored a gold money and 100% reserves of gold coins for
banking practice. Her general position was that the connection
between government and the economy should be severed completely.
So far as I can tell, what Greenspan wrote while a member of Rand's
inner collective had nothing to do with his post-1960s ideas or his
career in government service.
