* "US America" and "English" include a few subscribers from e-mail codes
.org, .com, and .net who are not based in the USA.
SUBSCRIBERS BY COUNTRY
E-mail "countries" are defined by the final part of an address,
the part after the final dot. We now have subscribers in 33
countries, perhaps one or two more concealed in "US America".
Peru and Hungary are newly represented; Colombia is out.
After USA with 210 subscribers (54%) is France with 22 (6%).

They count as "US America" and "English" in this report.
SUBSCRIBERS BY INSTITUTION
E-mail "institutions" are defined by one or two parts of an e-mail
address before the final part or "country", so some institutions
may be missed because of their addressing conventions and some
colleagues may be missed because they choose to subscribe from
another address.
University of Amsterdam (.uva.nl) is our longtime leader.
Currently we have four or more subscribers at handful of e-mail
institutions, and three subscribers at many more.
25 SUNY Binghamton (two plus 23 students in one course)
6 America Online ;-)
5 U Amsterdam
5 U Notre Dame
5 Duke U
4 U Paris 1
4 Harvard U (one a visitor from Amsterdam)
TECHNICAL NOTES
Each person is counted once, at current residence for those with
subscriptions in two different countries.
"US America" means subscription from one of the e-mail codes
associated with the USA; .org .com .net .us .edu .gov .mil
are represented here. The first three, at least, may include
users outside the USA.
"English" means subscription from any English-speaking country
including "US America" as defined here. (I counted Ireland and
South Africa; not Israel and India.)
