This discussion leads to a larger point. How many "urban legends" have passed into common
knowledge. How many times has Keynes' Lenin quote on inflation been repeated as a fact? In
my own work on Marx, I have encountered numerous statements made with an air of certainty,
that Marx said .... Maybe the most common is that Marx paid no attention to nature.
I suppose that we could make quite a catalogue of such "facts."
