I apologize for cross-posting.
I am hoping that some of you can help me considering that there have been a
few archives that have moved recently or are in the process of moving.
Bloorview MacMillan Children's Centre is due to begin moving to a new
facility in December 2005. My Senior Management Team has asked me, in my
capacity as Archivist/Records Manager, to devise some kind of timeline for
all staff to follow in preparation for the move and with regards their
office records. They want a timeline in place by late September 2004.
We already have a Records Retention Schedule on which I can build and I have
a few members of staff who are already starting to go through their files
and are giving me estimates of how long it is taking them.
What I am looking for from the lists are suggestions, anecdotes (including
what you would do differently if you did it again) and any literature that
you may know about that could be of some help.
Thank you in advance
Emma Prescott
