ARCHIVES FOR RECORDS MANAGERS AND LIBRARIANS
Records managers, librarians, and archivists bring different expertise

and different perspectives to the business of managing information.
Their training has some common elements and some significant
differences. This workshop is an introduction to archival principles and
practice. The course will include the role of archives in information

management, an overview of the main functions of archives, the ways that
archival practice differs from and complements records management and
library practices, and what is required to establish an archives program.
