Dear List Members:

A HAIG (Health Archivist Interest Group) posed the question to me:

What is your fee structure like?
What fees do you have for reference services?
What kinds of reference services are charged for?
Who do you charge? Internal or external users?
When do you start charging? For how much work?
etc.etc.

Many archives have a dilemma with fees. Small archives and not properly
founded, in particular, struggle with this topic.

Hospital archives are usually co-managed with corporate records. Is anybody
charging for records services?

How do people "out there" in archive and record-land feel/think about fees
for services.

You opinions, comments are eagerly awaited.

Magda Zakanyi
Co-Chair,
HAIG
