Information Deficit: Canadian Solutions (IDCS) is a multisector forum

be more? Who is accessing it? Does "Canada" matter in the global world
of the Internet?

This two-day conference (October 29 & 30, 2001 Calgary, Alberta) is a
series of panel discussions that will provide the basis for a policy
document which will suggest actions aimed at increasing and improving
our country's presence on the world wide web.

Panelists include: Paul Hoffert (author of "The Bagel Effect"), Hon.
Laurier LaPierre (Senator), Kim Peters (Workopolis), Roch Carrier
(National Library of Canada), Victoria Dickenson (McCord Museum),
Jennifer Evans (Digital Eve), Liss Jeffrey (The McLuhan Program in
Culture and Technology), and Susan Baldwin (CANARIE). For a complete
