Calling All Toronto Area Archivists!

You are cordially invited to join the Executive of the Toronto Area Archivists' Group for the 40th Annual General Meeting & Dinner happening Tuesday, June 11 beginning at 6:30pm.

Cocktails at the Faculty Club start flowing at 6:30, dinner at 7.

After dinner TAAG will hold its AGM, following which we are thrilled to present our after-dinner speaker, Professor ANDREW FLINN of the Department of Information Studies of University College London. Prof. Flinn lectures on archival studies and oral history and serves as Director of the Archives and RM postgraduate programme. An archivist and social historian, Andrew was archivist of the National Museum of Labour History in Manchester where he was responsible for the archives of the UK Labour and Communist parties. Andrew is an active member of the UK Community Archives and Heritage Group, and has researched and written extensively on issues relating to political activism and independent, grassroots community heritage and archive activity, including 'The impact of independent and community archives on professional archival thinking and practice' in Hill (ed.) The Future of Archives and Recordkeeping (London, 2011).

A vegetarian option is available on request, while the carnivores will dine on Chicken Supreme in a Mango salsa with vegetables, fruits, and fingerling potatoes. Chocolate Mousse for dessert. Cash bar.
