I see. Your letter made it seem as if you had rejected the notion of making the donation to the AAO and instead overcompensated the members with Tim cards. I do feel strangely comforted that it was your own money spent on the poison-pushing evil empire, though I still think it is shoddy not to have consulted the members who made the overpayment in the first place what form the reimbursement should have taken. The guy I gave the cards to seemed very pleased in any case.

I am sorry if our communication was not clear. Becker Associates takes the management of AAO funds very seriously so we alone take full responsibility for error.

All overpayments as part of Becker Associates' error were left in AAO accounts, meaning that you have made a donation for the total miscalculated. The gift card from Becker Associates was to apologize for the error and to reimburse you for that donation.

There was not a penny of the refunds, processing time, postage or paper costs that were covered by AAO. The error, responsibility for the error, and all costs related to rectifying it were ours.

I am sorry if the the method of refund was inappropriate to some people given their views of the particular coffee chain. Please feel free to donate the cards as you wish.
