I've been reading Tom Sawyer at night to my two young sons. We got to the
end of chapter 3 and Aunt Polly tells TS to go off and play, but be back
in a week or she'll tan him. I asked the boys if they knew what that meant
and the youngest, Josh,9, said,"Yeah, that's when they tie you up and sit
you out in the sun."
I got a good laugh and thought I would share it with you.
