A grad student has sent the following inquiry to the ASK THE PROF service. Anyone know the
source?
 
An economist in the 1930's had a catchy slogan explaining his method for curing the Great
Depression, it was "$30 every Thursday" (or something very near to this). Could you please
tell me who said this and what country he/she was from?
