Carl Dolmetsch, The College of William and Mary, Virginia.
 
Dr. Dolmetsch is the author of "Our Famous Guest": Mark Twain in Vienna
published by the University of Georgia Press in 1992.

"Human natur in a forren aspeck"-- Mark Twain's Encounters With German
Culture."
Holger Kersten, University of Kiel, Germany
 
Dr. Kersten is this season's international guest lecturer.  He is currently
working on a new project dealing with humorous dialect depictions of
German-Americans in the 19th century.

"Writing the Gold Rush:  Mark Twain and Bret Harte"
Peter Stoneley, The Queen's University of Belfast, Northern Ireland
 
Dr. Stoneley is the Fall Research Fellow in Residence at Quarry Farm.
 Currently, he is working on a book which will explore the literary culture
of the gold and silver rushes of 1849 and after.
 
Quarry Farm is located on Crane Road in Elmira, which can be reached from
East Avenue
