The April 1999 issue of "American History" magazine includes an article
entitled "Give the Book to Clemens" by Craig E. Miller.  It chronicles the
association between Twain and U.S. Grant and Twain's part in the publishing
of the General's memoirs.  In addition, the issue includes an article about
the Mark Twain House in Hartford.
