As a follow-up comment to my query posted last week regarding a
story that appeared in The New York Times on August 16, 1925
titled "Mark Twain's Printing Press" -- further research
indicates that The New York Times erred in identifying the
press as having once belonged to The Aurora Times. The printing
press that is profiled in the story actually came from the office
of The Esmeralda Star. Whether any of Twain's writings ever appeared
in The Esmeralda Star or The Aurora Times is a question that
remains unanswered.
