I remember reading that he used a dictophone while writing _Huckleberry
Finn_. I know that the Edison recordings are presumably lost, but I wonder
if anyone has checked the probate records for Twain's estate to learn if a
dictaphone was among his possessions, and to learn who it may have passed
to...
