Call for Proposals

We invite proposals of articles that link political economy to natural
philosophy and medicine in the period c.1650-1750. We positively
encourage topics that range across disciplines and/or over several
figures. The resulting set will be presented at a conference to be held at
Duke University in April 2002. The jounal History of Political Economy
will cover accommodation expenses at the conference, and is able to
offer up to $500 for travel costs.

Papers passing a final review will appear in a volume to be published as
a special supplement to that journal, by Duke University Press. If you
are interested in contributing an article, please send us an abstract (1000
words) together with a letter of intent by February 1, 2000.
