The finding guide for the Earl J. Hamilton Papers on the Economic History  
of Spain 1351-1830, is now available on the Internet, compliments of the  
Economist's Papers Project, Special Collections Library, Duke University. 
 
The Hamilton collection of working papers includes not only the source 
material and background notes to his major books, but also some 260 
original legajos and documents pertaining to Spanish trade and economic 
development, thousands of photostat copies of documents held by the 
Archivo del Banco de Espana, the Archivo Historico Nacional, and other 
archives, handwritten transcriptions of primary source materials, drafts 
and reprints of research papers, and academic and personal correspondence.
