CALL FOR PAPERS -- HETSA 10th Annual Conference 
 
The tenth Conference of the History of Economic Thought Society of 
Australia is to be held at the University of Notre Dame, Australia on 17 - 
19 July 1997. 
 
Venue and Accomodation 
 
The Conference will be held at the University of Notre Dame, Mouat St., 
Fremantle. 
 
Fremantle is a bustling port city with charming Edwardian architecture, a 
wide variety of museums and art galleries, and a plethora of restaurants, 
cafes and nightclubs. 
 
Accomodation in single rooms has been arranged at the Fremantle Hotel, a 
two-minute walk from the University. The cost is $45 per night (conference 
rate) for a single room with no ensuite. A single room with ensuite is $60 
(conference rate). Twins, doubles and family rooms are also available. The

For those wishing to arrange their own accomodation, there is a wide 
variety of hotels close to the University. A more upmarket hotel than the 
Fremantle is:

Conference Dinner 
 
The Conference Dinner will be held on Friday 18 July 1997 at a restaurant 
in Fremantle. John Wood promises to arrange a gastronomical delight to 
satisfy the most discriminating tastes. Reservations for the Conference 
Dinner are accepted with Conference Registration. Please include $50 for 
the dinner. 
 
Submission of Papers 
 
Papers from students, as well as from established academics, are most 
welcome. 
 
Abstracts of about 250 words should be received by 1 April 1997 
 
Authors will be notified of acceptance by 30 April 1997 
 
The full paper should be submitted by 23 June 1997 
 
If papers are received by Monday 23 June, we will print sufficient copies 
for distribution. If you cannot make it by this date, please bring along 
50 copies. 
 
Registration 
 
Registration will include all lunches and morning and afternoon teas for 
the duration of the Conference. 
 
Ordinary Registration (before 1/5/97) $120 
Ordinary Registration (after 30/4/97)  $140 
Student Registration (before 1/5/97)   $ 60 
Student Registration (after 30/4/97)    $ 70 
 
If you are planning to stay at the Fremantle Hotel, you may include your 
accomodation expense ($45/night) with your registration. Also remember to 
include $50 for the Conference Dinner.
