To all colleagues who sent information on E.O.Hoppe and his
photograph of Twain, many thanks. I was making enquiries on behalf of
a friend working on Hoppe and though the photo in question is still
untraced, the material I passed on to him from the Twain Forum was
very valuable and may help him to locate it. if I get more details I
