Several biographers cite *Love Letters of Mark Twain *as source for the
Rogers having seen one of Twain's Sandwich Islands lectures. However, upon
a quick review of that source this morning, I failed to turn up the
relevant passage. Perhaps others will have better luck. It is also
available via Internet Archive. - MS
