   Yes the Edison film does exist.  It is reprinted frame by
frame in the book "Mark Twain in the Movies" by John Seelye -
i.e., you can flip the pages and see him walk up.  I don't
remember a daughter in the picture though.  Don't have a clear
memory of ever seeing it as a film, although it just might be in
the film Mark Twain's America, which was produced in the 50's - a
standard holding for those universities that still have 16mm film
libraries.
