================= HES POSTING =================
The editorial team of the electronic mailing list HES is pleased to
announce the inaugural HES editorial board.
The HES editorial board serves an advisory role for the HES editors,
being available for advice and consultation on: policies and procedures
related to HES list and archive management; maintenance of the HES
electronic archive and WWW site; and the necessity of editorial
intervention on the list. Editorial board members are also expected to
encourage list discussions (Roy's editorial is an example) and promote the
History of Economics Society's electronic information services within the
profession.
The board's composition has been approved by the executive committee of
EH.Net (as directed by the EH.Net charter) and has been sent for
information to the executive committee of the History of Economics
Society.
The HES Editorial Board
Anthony Brewer [1] (University of Bristol)
Jim Henderson [3] (Valparaiso University)
Aiko Ikeo [2] (Kokugakuin University)
Maria Cristina Marcuzzo [3] (Universita di Roma "La Sapienza")
Philip Mirowski [2] (University of Notre Dame)
Roy Weintraub [1] (Duke University)
The number in brackets behind each name indicates the length (in years) of
each board member's term. You will notice that HES will eventually have a
board with staggered three-year terms. Board members can be renewed at the
end of their term. The terms were not assigned randomly: we made sure that
we were not renewing two non-North American members in the same year, and
that the current members of the HES executive (Henderson, Mirowski) were
not renewed at the same time.
Ross B. Emmett (Augustana University College) -- lead editor
Humberto Barreto (Wabash College)
Esther-Mirjam Sent (University of Notre Dame)
Paul Wendt (Watertown, Massachusetts) -- subscriptions editor
